The Jack Breslin Student Events Center, one of the premier facilities in the country, serves as home to the Michigan State basketball program. For the first time in its history, the facility hosted the NCAA Tournament in 2007, serving as host to the first and second rounds. Entering its 19th season of play in the arena, the Spartans own an all-time record of 174-67 (.722) at Breslin, including a 39-4 record the past three years.

Designed to replace Jenison Field House, the 14,759-seat arena is truly an all events facility. Besides accommodating the men's and women's basketball programs, the arena is used for student commencements, concerts, trade shows, conventions, banquets and other functions of interest to both the university and the community.

The arena and meeting rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art sound system, built-in facilities for television cameras and show-lighting requirements. Handicapped individuals have convenient access to the building at any of the major concourse level entrances.

In January of 2002, the Michigan State men's and women's basketball staffs moved into their new offices in the Alfred Berkowitz Basketball Complex, which was part of a Breslin Ceter expansion project. The new addition added two auxiliary gymnasiums along with expanded office space for the men's and women's basketball offices. Along with new offices for the coaching staff, the addition contains a large video review room, a video workroom and a conference room. The Alfred Berkowitz Foundation pledged $2 million toward the $7.5 million project. The entire cost of the project was covered by private funds.
